Joined Johnson & Higgins at the New York office in 1966 as an Account Executive Trainee and then worked as an Account Representative specializing in Commercial Casualty Insurance. Accounts handled in New York: Phillips Petroleum Company; United States Lines; Sinclair Oil; General Time Corporation; Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company.

Duties: Placing Liability Insurance Policies in domestic and London Markets.

Transferred to J&H Richmond, Virginia
Casualty Department Manager and Account Executive

Duties: Managing insurance programs for Ethyl Corporation; Reynolds Metals Company; Robertshaw Controls Company; Burroughs Wellcome Corp.; Seaboard Coast Line Railroad; CSX Corporation; Concrete Pipe & Products Co., Inc.

I also held jobs, on National Committees for J&H, which were primarily concerned with the placement, interpretation and marketing of Liability Insurance. I was charged with developing and maintaining E&O standards for our company and with reviewing the E&O practices of the surplus lines brokers and London brokers with which we had business relationships.

I was J&H's senior representative to the Travelers Insurance Company, The Hartford Specialty Insurance Company and the London Casualty Market.

I ended my J&H career on June 30, 1994 by retiring as an Executive Vice Presidnet and Principal.

In this business I advise commercial clients on policy forms, marketing of insurance programs, self-assumption of risk, liability insurance claims and compensation for brokers, agents and intermediaries. I also provide expert witness testimony in cases involving disputes between insureds and insurers.
